What the RO Membrane Does
The RO membrane is the most critical component of your reverse osmosis system. It forces water through microscopic pores, blocking dissolved contaminants including lead, arsenic, nitrates, fluoride, chlorine byproducts, and total dissolved solids (TDS) — removing up to 99% of contaminants. Over time, the membrane loses efficiency and must be replaced to maintain water quality and flow rate.

When to Replace
