The Sediment Filter 5-Micron 20" (SMF PP20B05) is a wound polypropylene replacement cartridge for standard 20" x 4.5" Big Blue Point of Entry (POE) filter housings. The larger 20" format offers greater filter capacity and longer service intervals than the 10" version — ideal for higher-flow systems or properties with elevated sediment levels.

What It Does

Sediment filtration is the essential first stage of any whole-home water treatment system. At 5 microns, this filter captures fine particles including dirt, rust, sand, and suspended solids that can clog carbon filters, foul UV lamp sleeves, and damage appliances — extending the life of all downstream components.
