The Sediment Filter 5-Micron 10" (SMF PP10B05) is a wound polypropylene replacement sediment cartridge for Excalibur Rack Filter Systems and all standard Point of Entry (POE) Big Blue filter housings in the 10" x 4.5" size. It removes dirt, rust, sand, and suspended particles from your whole-home water supply, protecting downstream filters, UV systems, and appliances.
What It Does
Sediment filtration is the essential first stage of any whole-home water treatment system. At 5 microns, this wound polypropylene filter captures fine particles that can clog carbon filters, foul UV lamp sleeves, and damage appliances. Installing a sediment filter upstream of your UV or carbon system extends the life of all downstream components.

When to Replace
