The UV Ballast Signature 8 & 15GPM Non-Colour Screen (UVS EXW4C) is the genuine replacement electronic ballast for Excalibur Signature Series rack and non-rack UV systems without a colour screen. The ballast powers and regulates the UV lamp — if your system's lamp is not illuminating despite a new lamp, or the ballast is showing a fault, replacement is required to restore full UV protection.
What the Ballast Does
The electronic ballast is the power supply and controller for your UV lamp. It regulates the electrical current to the lamp, monitors lamp status, and triggers the visual and audio lamp failure alarms. A failed ballast will prevent the UV lamp from operating, leaving your water unprotected.
