The UV Ballast Signature 15GPM Colour Screen (UVS EXW56C) is the genuine replacement electronic ballast for Excalibur Signature Series 15 GPM rack and non-rack UV systems with a colour screen controller. The ballast powers and regulates the UV lamp — if your system's lamp is not illuminating despite a new lamp, or the ballast is showing a fault, replacement is required to restore full UV protection.
What the Ballast Does
The electronic ballast is the power supply and controller for your UV lamp. It regulates the electrical current to the lamp, communicates with the colour screen controller, monitors UV intensity in real time, and triggers alerts via the Lightlock system and UV Concierge app. A failed ballast will prevent the UV lamp from operating, leaving your water unprotected.

Colour Screen vs. Non-Colour Screen Ballast

When to Replace
Replace the ballast if your UV system's lamp failure alarm is triggered after installing a new lamp, or if the lamp does not illuminate despite confirmed lamp and power connections. Ballasts typically last 5–10 years with normal use.
